Xorro-Q for free: BYOD participation, assessment & gamification

Our sister company, EdTech developer Xorro Solutions has released free access for school educators to its gamification and real-time assessment solution, Xorro-Q.

Xorro-Q enables educators in BYOD classrooms and lecture theaters to ensure the active participation of every single student in instant challenges. Challenges can be prepared ahead of time, or better, created in-class around existing resources and activities such as slide shows, videos etc.

Free Algebra Question Banks

Chatting with a customer before Christmas, he enthused on how useful it would be to have large banks of maths practice questions appropriate to his college classes. These could easily be included in contests and games which motivate students to have fun practicing algebra through the term.

Xorro-Q takes the Lead 

With Xorro’s latest Q-Launcher, released 26 August 2013, presenters can now display a real-time Leaderboard to add contest and game qualities to their activities.

Xorro-Q makes a splash with Economics Panel 

On July 30, Massey University hosted a panel of experts to discuss the country’s leading economic issues.  Attended by over 100 people from the University and business, the session was made interactive using Xorro-Q to gauge audience opinions on the questions during the panel contributions. 

Xorro-Q with Pictures! 

Users of the web-based Xorro-Q audience response solution can now add images into their activities. All interaction types now support images. Audience participants receive the images on their browser devices (cellphones, tablets, i-Pads, laptops etc) and can respond to questions directly. All audience responses can be displayed in real-time or downloaded for later analysis.
